Price has gone up at least 2 times. Nov 19, 2009 I bought this ram a couple years ago when it was less than $50 back in the day at compusa. Its still good, hasnt died on me yet and has been keeping my real fast. Its still good ram ive had it for about 2 years and planning on building a new micro atx with 2 5870 cards and im gona need some new ddr3 and its going to be so freaken expensive. The reason why im giving it 3 stars is how bad the price is.
Good performance on core 2 quad system Sep 27, 2009 I'm not an overclocker and used this on a special build for my workplace. It performed just fine, never failed and due to the metal heat sink type heat dissipation I never had any overheating issues.

Good ram if works out of package May 29, 2009 I purchased this ram to expand my Dell XPS from 2 to 6 gigs, seeing as Vista tends to be a bit of a power hog. At first, my system would not boot up at all after I installed this ram. I then ran memory tests on both of them, and one of the sticks was bad. I returned them for a new pair, and they worked without flaw. This would be a 5 star item in my book had I not had to deal with the initial defective product, but I could not be happier with what I have now.
Screamer Memory May 18, 2009 Wow, this memory just screams! I tried it at the normal 800MHZ and its perfect. Using 4 sticks for 8Gig for my VMware ESXi server and I can run 8 VM's without even worrying about the memory. Now I'm just waiting for them to come out with the 2X4GB versions so I can up it to 16Gig.
The heat sinks are massive and work great. Just for grins I put a memory cooler fan on top of them and the memory doesn't even get warm to the touch. Before the fan you could feel it get pretty toasty. Recommend even a cheap fan (mine was the crab eye for $9).
Goodbye Corsair Apr 02, 2009 I have 8 GB of this 4-4-4-12 ram. (4 x 1GB) and (2 x 2GB) that doesn't run well (if at all) at the advertised speed on my EVGA 680i motherboard. I read online that Corsair uses cheaper chips now. All I can say is my history with them stops here. On the up side the heatsinks are good installation handles.
